About radio frequency identification
Radio frequency identification systems are composed of three components: a transponder (smart label or microchip with an antenna) that is used to store information, a reader that emits a radio signal to communicate with the transponder, and an associated IT infrastructure that controls the operation of the reader and serves as a link with the management system.
