2010-06-01 - KRUPACK PACKAGING CELEBRATES THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF IMPLEMENTING THE KIWIPLAN SYSTEM AT ITS LASALLE AND BRAMPTON BOX PLANTS

Montréal, Québec, June 1, 2010 – One year after implementing the Kiwiplan system at its Krupack Packaging plants in LaSalle, Québec, and Brampton, Ontario, Kruger Inc. gives a positive review of this supply chain optimization system’s benefits. With better access to information, all departments at both plants have improved all processes, including order management, data collection, procurement, production planning, and inventory management.
Jean-Sébastien Lajoie, Special Projects Supervisor in charge of implementation, said: “Kiwiplan has prompted the organization to improve all of its processes”. To accomplish this, a working group was created and mandated to standardize processes at both box plants and to clearly define each entity’s roles.
Kiwiplan’s main benefits are: real-time access to information; increased data quality and accuracy; better order, finished product inventory and delivery tracking; detailed histories of products manufactured; and more efficient raw materials management.
The transition to Kiwiplan required customers’ cooperation and a change in business culture. As changes continue to unfold, Krupack Packaging stands out from the competition in the highly competitive packaging marketplace, primarily because of shorter response times and instant access to information throughout the supply chain.
