Montréal, Québec, July 24, 2009 – Kruger Inc. confirmed that it obtained SFI fibre-sourcing certification for its Krupack Packaging Mill at Place Turcot in Montréal, in accordance with Appendix 1 of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative Standard. This certification will give the mill an edge in the paperboard market by confirming that it meets the most stringent environmental requirements. The SFI certification program has gained strong acceptance in the global marketplace and is based on measures to protect water quality, biodiversity, wildlife habitat, species at risk, and Forests with Exceptional Conservation Value.
