Montréal, July 22, 2004 – Kruger Inc. is pleased to announce that its packaging plant in Montréal (LaSalle Borough) has been awarded the ICI ON RECYCLE! Performance Attestation, designed to highlight excellence in residual materials management, following a unanimous recommendation from Recyc-Québec's independent evaluation committee.
"This attestation is proof of the continuous effort Kruger Inc. invests in reaching high level environmental standards, with a view to sustainable development", declared Mr. Michel Dubuc, General Manager of the plant. "This is a sign of recognition that reflects credit on all employees in the Montreal packaging division whose thoroughness and tenacity have permitted the company to qualify for this award", he added.
Industries wishing to obtain a Performance Attestation must meet various evaluation criteria, such as the beneficial use of at least 65% of recyclable residual materials.
